The objective of this project was to migrate an existing Oracle Database from a corporate data center to Amazon Web Services (AWS). The key challenge was to ensure the migrated database would operate with high availability and scalability in the new cloud environment. To accomplish this, People Staff Technologies provided a specialist with strong expertise in AWS Cloud Architecture and database migration.
The key tasks include:
Infrastructure Provisioning: We set up the necessary cloud infrastructure on AWS to host the Oracle Database.
Database Migration: The Oracle Database was successfully migrated from the client’s on-premise data center to the new AWS environment.
High Availability Configuration: We implemented solutions to ensure the migrated database was highly available, minimizing downtime.
Scalability Planning: We configured the system for scalability to handle future growth and increased demand.
Resource Provision: We provided a Cloud Application Architect with a proven track record in AWS cloud migration and architecture to lead the project.
